17 killed, four injured in truck and bus collision in Egypt

CAIRO: At least 17 people were killed and four injured in a collision between two vehicles in southern Egypt, authorities said.

The deadly crash took place last night when a passenger microbus collided with a truck on a highway in the district of Juhaynah in Sohag province, 390 kilometres (244 miles) south of the capital – Cairo.

Ambulances rushed to carry bodies and the injured to hospitals, authorities added in a statement.
